Appointments can be made by speaking to the receptionists or online. Routine appointments are 10 minutes;
Emergency appointments - these are available for urgent problems and can be arranged for the same day. You may not be able to see your usual doctor and the appointment may be shorter than a routine appointment.
Patients are reminded that only one problem should be discussed in your appointment.
All appointments are made by telephoning the surgery and speaking to a receptionist
If you feel you will be unable to attend an appointment please telephone and cancel so it may be given to another patient - thank you.
A selection of appointments can be pre-booked up to 4 weeks in advance. Some appointments can be booked 2 days in advance. The remainder are booked on the day. Demand is carefully monitored - please use the appointments system responsibly.
THANK YOU TO ALL THE PATIENTS WHO ATTENDED OR CANCELLED THEIR APPOINTMENTS
IN OUR EFFORTS TO CUT DOWN ON OUR DNA RATE, THE PRACTICE MANAGER NOW WRITES A WARNING LETTER TO EACH PATIENT WHO DOES NOT ATTEND FOR THEIR APPOINTMENTS.
SIGN UP TO OUR FREE TEXT REMINDER SERVICE TO AVOID BEING REMOVED FROM THE PRACTICE FOR NOT EITHER CANCELLING OR KEEPING YOUR APPOINTMENT.
To enable you to use the repeat prescriptions and booking advance appointments you must first go into the surgery to register for use of this facility. You will be given a “login” and “password”. The facility will then be available to you. N.B. It is not possible to book on-line appointments for the Practice Nurses as some appointments need to be longer than others, therefore you will need to contact a Receptionist.
Protected Learning Time
To maintain a high standard of care, patients can be confident that all members of the practice team receive regular training and updating.The practice will close the surgery between 1.00 pm and 6.30 pm on the 3rd Tuesday of most months in the year (8 in total) to enable the GPs and staff training outside the practice. During this period an emergency service will provide GP cover to our patients.
